Smooth Sounds is a musical entertainment business that mainly provides saxophone music. The business was founded in March 2022 by Virgin Gorda’s saxophonist, Brandon Walters. Smooth Sounds provides a wide range of genres such as Jazz, Blues, R&B, Pop, Latin, Soca, Reggae and more. Smooth Sounds also provides musical entertainment for events such as birthday parties, weddings, jazz events, hotels, restaurants and more.

BRANDON WALTERS
Brandon started playing the saxophone in 2013 under the influence of his high school music teacher and Virgin Gorda music icon, Clennell Vanterpool. A year later, Brandon became an assistant musician at the Virgin Gorda Seventh Day Adventist Church. He started playing in many church events and weddings. In April 2018, he joined a local band named Leon and the Hotshots and made his debut for them as a saxophonist. August 2018, he went on to do a four-year music program at the University of the Southern Caribbean in Trinidad to further his studies in music. He did a Bachelors of Arts in Music with Emphasis in Music Education and while doing his studies, he participated in many orchestras and ensembles. He took classes with professor Kerron Hislop over the four-year period and became a section leader for some of the bands in the program. He won many awards including the university’s first annual concerto competition in April 2021.
After performing for many years, Brandon decided in March 2022 to create his music business Smooth Sounds and made his debut performance at Fischer’s Cove Beach Hotel and Restaurant on March 6th 2022. He currently plays at Fischer’s Cove every Saturday night from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
Brandon’s goal is to give people a great experience each time he comes out to play music and build a great connection with others through music.
